I am concerned that attempts to designate places in Doña Ana County wilderness where people can still hear trucks on the highway is a sham. No one except the deaf can enjoy the wilderness designated “solitude” with the sonic booms from Holloman AFB and being on a major east-west commercial airliner corridor. Eleven different departments of New Mexico's lethargic state government have yet to comply with requests for information made in January. By state law the departments are required to respond. The pace of bureaucrats efforts (see photo left) demonstrates better than any claim that might be made by pro-private sector advocates, why state government should not be allowed to siphon more resources away from citizens. Yesterday News New Mexico pointed out the fact that the U.S. would be provided with another opportunity to support the dissident movement within Iran. There are some signs the Obama administration is going to take advantage. Will the steps being taken be enough make a difference? Now that diplomatic efforts have failed to sway the holocaust denying Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (left) from ending his pursuit of nukes the administration sure hopes so. Read here:

Santa Fe County is cross referencing data bases looking for even the smallest businesses that may not have paid for business licences. 3,000 letters were sent to people in the Santa Fe area. One artist was "hopping" mad that government was intruding into her world. Read all about it here:
