Dems Facing Biggest Mid-Term Loss in Many Years

The Republicans are poised to retake the U.S. House and narrow Democrats’ margin in the Senate, delivering a rebuke to President Barack Obama’s party in a campaign shaped by voter anxiety over jobs and the economy. Republicans, who need a net gain of 39 seats to take control of the House, may pick up at least 50 in today’s elections, capitalizing on concerns about government spending and a 9.6 percent unemployment rate. The party may win as many as eight seats in the Senate, just shy of the 10 needed for a majority. “It’s going to be one of those elections that 10 to 15 years from now people look back and point to as a midterm bloodletting,” said Stuart Rothenberg, editor of the Washington-based Rothenberg Political Report. If there was only one democrat in the house that had to go it had to be Grayson of Florida. Grayson is one of the most despicable politicians of our time. It boggles the mind to understand how anyone could have ever voted for such a vile offensive human being. I couldn't wait to see the results of his re-election bid. Good riddance!

My wife and I were amazed as we watched the national returns tonight. Maybe Obama will finally do some soul searching and decide whether he wants to be around for more than just four years. Make no mistake about it, this was about Obama imposing his UNWANTED political agenda down the American taxpayer's throats. On the local level, our anti-business, anti-growth city council should take serious notice of what took place today in America. WAKE UP COUNCILORS! There's a tsunami rolling across this country and you're next. You better find a way to reduce the city budget, cut taxes and cease and desist with the imposition of your ridiculous unwanted costly programs that drain us of precious financial resources. Stop pandering to environmental special interest groups who are hell bent on stifling growth, job creation and entrepreneurial prosperity. Many of us see this city council as impediments to the progress of our own economical recovery. TAKE HEED NOW, THE WAVE IS COMING!

By nearly all measures, this was indeed a historical night. My only regret is that the current city council wasn't running for re-election. I hope you guys will talk about this soon.
