Swearing at Susana before swearing in ceremony

From the Jim Baca blog, Only in New Mexico - by Jim Baca, former State Land Commissioner and former mayor of Albuquerque - Damn! It only took one day for Susana Martinez to start delivering for her mega donors to the campaign. Her first policy decision wasn't one that showed concern for New Mexicans at large. No, the first thing out of her mouth was that she would trash New Mexico's Environmental Improvement Board vote to join a regional 'cap and trade' program aimed at lessening climate change. Of course that means her oil and gas contributors immediately pulled the strings on their very own Governor. This is a really bad omen. Now she will most likely move to gut the 'Pit Rule" that protects ground water from oil pollution and drilling waste. All for keeping the oil and gas industry in the money and deep profits. Did you even give a second thought to this decision or did the oil boys just lead you by the nose? And so Yates Petroleum owns the Governor's office. Read more

I find it incredibly stupid to think cap and tax is something the people of New Mexico want considering the outcome of last week's election. I would counter Baca with, "...Damn! It only took one day for one of these left-wings fruitcakes to start whining about Martinez' efforts to save New Mexico jobs..." How bad do these ideologues have to get pounded at the voting polls before they GET IT?? The people are fed up with taxes. Taxes kill jobs!!! Circumventing the will of the people and resorting to some kind of underhanded, no vote tactic to kill more jobs is a kin to that lousy health care bill our president could ONLY pass via reconciliation. Are you listening, BACA? WE DON'T WANT CAP AND TAX!!!!!! Get over it, YOU LOST AT THE POLLS BY RECORD NUMBERS! Give it up and re-think your rational. STOP jamming this UNWANTED legislation down our throats via corrupt processes! Amen, Susana!! Stop these goons in their tracks!!

I'm confused. I thought the people just went to the polls and voted out all these democrats that endorsed cap and trade. Now they're doing an end run around the people's will? Who do these people think they are? Even though we don't want this they're determined to levy these taxes on us through some federal agency? What unmitigated gall. I hope Martinez has the power to veto everything these jerks try to do. Why won't Martinez come on your show?

1) Has Jim Baca ever had a REAL job? Looking at his blog seems to indicate that he has lived off the people for his entire life. In our system, NO ONE is supposed to be a retired politico. One is supposed to go in, work a couple of terms and get then HELL out and let someone else bring their ideas to the table. The only thing experience in politics provides is better knowledge of how to be corrupt.

2) A number of years ago it was acknowledged that rising temperature in NA and Europe would make life in those areas BETTER. Fewer people freezing to death. More land area open for food production. Longer growing seasons.

BUT weather changes are NOT climate changes. Mankind's collective EGO is the problem. Mankind is NOT in charge of Earth. We should be worried about changes that wipe humans from the face of the planets. Changes have occurred throughout the history of this planet where in something like 99% of all prior species have disappeared. Of course, our continued existence is just due to happenstance.

RIGHT!!

About J.B., I forgot, HE's one of the elite who stays in politics because HE knows what's best for the rest of us.

Baca's arrogance is surpassed only by his inability to connect with the citizens of New Mexico. When will the left get over themselves?
