From chicagotribune.com - A state investment agency says a former Michigan congressman was part of a pay-to-play scheme in New Mexico in which government investments were steered to political supporters of former Democratic Gov. Bill Richardson. The state Investment Council on Thursday filed an updated lawsuit in state district court in Santa Fe providing details of its allegations that politically influenced investments generated millions of dollars in fees for Richardson's supporters and political donors.
