Moore Heads up Martinez Office in Washington

Brian Moore
Roundhouse Roundup - One of Gov. Susana Martinez's deputy chiefs of staff is heading to Washington, D.C. to head the governor's branch office in the nation's capitol. Martinez spokesman Scott Darnell confirmed that in an e-mail. Moore's transfer was first reported by blogger Joe Monahan, Moore, a former legislator from Clayton, "will work regularly with the staffs of our congressional delegation, as well as federal agencies when necessary and the National Governors Association," Darnell said. "His office will ensure communication and coordination on the many issues that affect New Mexicans that have federal and state components." Read full story here: News New Mexico

We send senators to DC to handle the needs of the state. What in the H--- are we doing spending our limited funds on an office and a staff for the governor's office. Governors are not involved in the federal government. It is the senators who represent the state and the representatives who represent the people.

This is just another state level pork barrel project that takes needed funding away from truly necessary areas.

The reason, Mr. Anonymous, that Governor Martinez needs an office in Washington is BECAUSE Senator Udall and Senator Bingamin aren't really representing the majority views of New Mexicans. I WANT Governor Martinez to send someone to Washington that doesn't automatically kneel at the feet of environmental groups and their job killing agenda. We need someone who will instead promote businesses in New Mexico and not just the winners Udall and Bingamin pick. Frankly, Udall and Bingamin both have done a miserable job representing the people of New Mexico. We need a voice...not just theirs. In the short time Martinez has been governor unemployment has already dropped. The only thing Udall and Bingamin do is put on their presidential knee pads while the nation's unemployment skyrockets. The way I see it, the less funding available for environmental groups to fleece from New Mexico the better. Good job, Susana!
