Snubbed by GOP, Johnson Weighs Libertarian Run

KOB TV - Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson is thinking about pulling out of the race for the Republican presidential nomination and switching to another party. Johnson said he is considering running for the Libertarian Party nomination, to keep his dark horse candidacy alive and keep his issues on the table. He told our media partners at the Santa Fe New Mexican that he feels "abandoned" by the Republican Party. Johnson said the Libertarians have made "overtures" and that he thinks he would have a fair chance to win their nomination. Johnson has been left out of all but two of the Republican presidential debates, and lately the polls don't include his name. "It's the Gary Johnson rule," he said back in September. "They get together and they decide what rule do we have to come up with to just exclude Gary Johnson and that's the rule they apply."
