Donald Rumsfeld Endorses Rick Newton

Bush administration but campaign officials for congressional candidate Rick Newton announced on Thursday (March 29) that Rumsfeld has endorsed Newton and given the Republican candidate the maximum contribution allowed by the Federal Election Commission. “I am proud to have his support,” Newton said in a news release that said Rumsfeld met with congressional candidate two weeks ago and talked about job creation, federal over-regulation and education. A Newton campaign spokesman said the 79-year-old Rumsfeld and his wife Joyce donated $5,000 to the Newton campaign.  Read more
