Hobbs couple claims $2 million Powerball prize

New Mexico Lottery officials say a couple from Hobbs has claimed a $2 million prize from a recent Powerball game.
Joe and Lisa Woodruff say they didn't know their winning ticket was worth that much until they arrived Thursday at lottery headquarters in Albuquerque. Their ticket for the Powerball's Nov. 28 drawing matched five numbers to win $1 million.
The prize doubled because the Woodruffs added a $1 Power Play feature to their ticket. Power Play multiplies non-jackpot prizes.
Until now, the Woodruffs say the most they had ever won in the lottery was $7. The couple used family birthdates and anniversaries as the numbers for their ticket.
