Richardson has words of advice for governor-elect at their first meeting

From the Santa Fe New Mexican.com - Republican Gov.-elect Susana Martinez huddled privately Tuesday with the man she will replace, Democratic Gov. Bill Richardson, who she described as "gracious" during their first post-election meeting. Martinez said it was "sobering" to be in the Capitol for the first time since voters selected her to run the state. She takes office Jan. 1 and will immediately face serious challenges, such as a projected $260 million budget shortfall. "The first thing we have to do is balance the budget," Martinez said at a news conference after the meeting. Her transition team has received documents from the Richardson administration on the state's work force, and Martinez said they plan to review the material to determine current salaries and what positions are vacant, and to identify political appointees by Richardson who have moved into civil-service classified jobs. She said no decision has been made on whether she will make a blanket request for the resignations of appointed state workers under the governor's control — something Richardson and former Republican Gov. Gary Johnson did when they prepared to enter office. Read more

Why do these idiots think they are elected to "run the state"? They are elected to do OUR (the People's) bidding. They SERVE us. They work FOR us. They are NOT are superiors and they are NOT the boss.

The People are the top boss. Within Government, the legislature is the top level, followed by the executive, and trailed by the judiciary.

How do we know this?

First, can the governor fire a legislator? No. BUT the legislature can fire a governor. Point made, the legislature is superior to the governor. Can the judiciary fire the governor or a legislator? No. Who selects members of the judiciary? The governor. Who can fire the judiciary? The legislature.

Who can fire the legislature? We the People.

So when the governor takes office, someon should sit them down and let them know just who is boss. It is high time the stupid People quit listening to the servants and tell the servants what the People want.

I hope Richardson isn't giving Martinez any advice on how to raise campaign funds from entities that wish to secure a contract to deliver services to the State of New Mexico. The people sent Martinez there to end the corruption, cut taxes and balance the state budget. Anyone who thinks differently is either a hopeless left-wing ideologue, a democrat in denial or someone looking for a handout from Martinez.
