Pearce: Favors Middle Class Tax Relief, Job Creation

Yesterday, Congressman Steve Pearce voted in favor of H.R. 3630, the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act, which includes the Keystone Pipeline project and payroll tax relief.
Steve Pearce
"As I have continually said, job growth is the only solution to our current economic crisis," said Pearce. "The Keystone Pipeline project alone would create about 20,000 jobs immediately. Additionally, by preventing tax increases to America's middle class, we enable this group of job creators to grow their businesses, hire additional workers, and spur economic growth. Washington cannot continue down the path of destruction by overtaxing hard working Americans."
This legislation extends temporary payroll tax relief and provides tax relief for businesses. The Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act, which passed the House of Representatives today, also includes an extension to unemployment insurance and focuses on job growth as a solution to the national economic crisis.

"...job growth is the only solution to our current economic crisis..." Hardly, job growth is only part of the solution. Try legalizing currencies which compete with Federal Reserve Notes, shrinking the size and scope of goverment especially the military and reducing participation in globalism. Pearce advocates more of the same. More of the same obviously does not work. Pearce is more of the same.

The pipeline WOULD create jobs which would help the federal government collect more revenues. Shrinking government would help especially entitlement spending. Defense spending should also be cut but only to the extent that it wouldn't reduce our defense capabilities. We live in a global economy. We're never going backwards. Isolationism wouldn't resolve our debt issues. The dollar will be stronger when we reduce our debt. Only an increase in the number of people working and paying taxes and spending cuts can help to reduce that debt. A tax increase will not resolve our debt issues. A tax increase would result in more lost jobs being sent overseas where a more favorable business environment already exists. Our corporate tax structure makes us significantly LESS competitive. Pearce advocates change from the Obama administration's failed economic policies.
