Pearce and McMillan Guests on NewsNM Today

Steve Pearce

Former U.S. House member Steve Pearce will be our 7:30am studio guest on News New Mexico Tuesday. We will talk to him about the president's visit to El Paso, the danger to Dona Ana County residents of border violence, the "wilderness" designation near the border, repairing the U.S. economy, and the swelling national debt. Pearce is seeking to regain the seat held by freshman Congressman Harry Teague. Teague has represented this area since January of 2009, after Pearce made an unsuccesful run for retiring Senator Pete Domenici's U.S. Senate seat.

Dr. Terry McMillan

In the 8:00am segment we will visit with Dr. Terry McMillan who will be in the studio. We will be talking to Dr. McMillan about his dreams for our state and what he thinks are the most critical challenges ahead. Dr. McMillan is opposed by land conservationist Rep. Jeff Steinborn, who is also the son of former Las Cruces Mayor, David Steinborn.
