From the Las Cruces Sun-News LAS CRUCES — Mayfield was missing nine players due to injury Friday against Carlsbad. But the Trojans still had senior running back Brandon Betancourt. Betancourt had scoring runs of 60, 43 and 45 yards to lead the shorthanded Trojans past the previously unbeaten Cavemen 42-21. The Trojans moved to 2-1 this season after losing at El Paso Montwood last week.
