From bizjournals.com- The U.S. population grew 9.7 percent in the past decade to more than 308.7 million people, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, which released the first batch of 2010 census data Tuesday. The U.S. resident population represents the total number of people in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. New Mexico grew 13.2 percent to 2,059,179 residents. The rate is above the national average of 9.7 percent growth. More here
