NM gets an official state necklace

From KRQE.com - SANTA FE (AP) - New Mexico has an official state necklace because of a new law. Gov. Susana Martinez signed a measure Monday designating the Native American squash blossom necklace as the official necklace of New Mexico. The law takes effect June 17. The necklace features silver beads called squash blossoms with turquoise or other gem stones. The necklace joins a long list of state symbols, such as the state flower, bird, insect and cookie.

This legislation really provides the people with a look at how "busy" the legislators are when they are in Satan Fe (sic).

We REALLY needed a state necklace.

The id ten Ts are spending us into oblivion. The ID ten Ts have no idea of budgeting, of allocating resources, of management, of life. My God these people are failures!!

Bullying laws - we already have assault and battery laws - USE THEM.

The same can be said about much of the legislation passed each year.

What we do need is a SUNSET Amendment in our state constitution. That amendment would cause ALL laws to sunset after a 3 or 5 yr time frame. This would eliminate BS laws as the folks would have to spend time keeping "necessary and proper" (read that some where) legislation.

Maybe we should rename the place to Baffoonville!!!!
