News New Mexico is scheduled to take the air in Carlsbad this morning on KATK AM -740. It will be our great pleasure to interview Senator Vernon Asbill from 7:30am - 8:00am. Asbill represents District 34 (Eddy and Otero County). He is the ranking member on the Senate Education Committee and is a retired educator. We will talk to Senator Asbill about the Sand Dunes Lizard, higher education funding, as well as the failure of the Senate to pass a social promotion education bill sponsored by Rep.
