KRQE-TV - ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Eclipse Aerospace announced Monday that it will start production for the first time since the original company, Eclipse Aviation went bankrupt in November 2008. Mason Holland, President and CEO of Eclipse Aeropace made the announcement at the 2011 National Business Aviation Assocation Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Holland said final construction of the aircraft will likely stay in Albuquerque. He also said Eclipse will double its workforce in Albuquerque from 150 to 300 employees by the end of 2012. Eclipse Aerospace plans on producing between 50 and 100 new planes a year. It will sell the Eclipse 550 for more than $2.5 million dollars.
