Appeals Court: No Water from Rio Grande for Albuquerque

KOB TV - The state Court of Appeals has ruled against the city of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County in a dispute over diverting water from the Rio Grande to supply drinking water for the metropolitan area. The court ruled on Monday that the Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Water Authority failed to follow proper procedures in getting a permit from the state engineer's office to divert about 45,000 acre feet of river water.
