Forgery in Udall's Office?

KOB TV - Army soldier Roger Avants needed help to receive his military disability benefits and didn’t expect any trouble when he went to Senator Tom Udall’s office for assistance. The former tank commander went asking for help but became a forgery victim. Avants told 4 On Your Side reporter Gadi Schwartz, that Roberto Vasquez, a case worker in Udall’s office, forged his signature and closed the case after it was discovered by criminal investigators with the Department of Defense. “He admitted to the investigative team that he had in fact forged my documents,” Avants said. “To clear the records off of this case because of the workload and the stress of working all the military cases.” Read full story here: News New Mexico
