It looks like Jennings and 11 others may survive ballot snafu

Capitol Report New Mexico - New Mexico state Senate Pro Tempore Tim Jennings and 11 other candidates for statewide office seem to have dodged a bullet that could have knocked them off the ballot in the 2012 elections and changed the composition of the Roundhouse in stunning fashion. An official with state Attorney General Gary King said late Friday afternoon (March 23) that past legal rulings indicate the forms Jennings and the 11 others improperly filled out won’t keep them from participating in the June 5 party primaries. What was the problem? This year’s form for candidates to fill out to the Secretary of State’s Office were slightly different than previous years, including requiring candidates to specify the district they were running in, as well as other information.
