A/C Turn Off Program Draws Volunteers

NM Business Journal - Thousands of PNM Resources Inc. customers are volunteering to let the energy company shut off their air conditioners during peak periods throughout the summer in an effort to save energy and help prevent blackouts.

According to a KOB.com report, PNM has a network of more than 30,000 private refrigerated air conditioner units in homes and small businesses that can be centrally controlled and dialed down when the need arises.
