State officials are still investigating gas thefts and
shaking up a handful of employees at the Department of Transportation.
Each
employee is suspected of
stealing fuel on the taxpayer's dime and they are not only using gas cards
to do it.
DOT says they think at least four people have stolen gas for personal
use within the past year. One of them was busted just last week.
Melissa
Dosher, a DOT spokeswoman. Dosher wouldn't give any more information about the
employees, other than saying one of the four is still under investigation and
two have terminations pending.
Dosher says the state will continue random
audits and reviews.
