Consumers Pull Back in May

Despite or perhaps because of massive U.S. government borrowing and spending, the American consumer slashed their spending levels in May. No doubt the nightmarish fiscal problems in Greece and other nations in Southern Europe have given Americans pause.  As states like California rush headlong on the path of fiscal self-destruction it may be the consumer is connecting the dots. It would seem that only the attorneys (above) who are on track to capitalize in the gulf oil spill are on track to overcome the stubbornly high jobless rates. Read details here:
