Wilderness and Roadless Area Release Act, or more aptly put, the Great Outdoors Giveaway Act. This risky legislation would open tens of millions of acres of protected public land to full-scale development, including 2 million acres in New Mexico. The legislation gives polluters and developers, who already have access to 76 percent of all national forests and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands, access to even more of America’s vanishing wilderness. This bill is a blank check for polluters to ruin the air we breathe and water we drink. The Great Outdoors Giveaway would undermine decades of land protection in one fell swoop, and if signed into law would leave only 12 percent of our national forests and BLM lands off limits to development. If Congress were to pass this legislation, the American public would witness the worst sell-off of our nation’s most scenic treasures in living memory.

I have read H.R 1581: Wilderness and Roadless Area Release Act of 2011. I have read too many fear mongering comments from the Sustainable Development crowd. I do not disdain human activity on public lands. This act will release public lands for human activity. I support H.R. 1581.
Said an environmentalist terrorist to the people... Go sue someone. The majority of us are weary of the economic destruction leveled against our economy by lunatic environmentalists. Environmentalists have crossed over from protecting the environment to making up facts and exaggerating claims to justify their existence and raise funds for progressive nonsense. Destroy the logging industry under the guise that you're saving the world and it's "shame on you". Make false claims about lizards to deliberately diminish the energy industry in New Mexico and sway people to buy it? Shame on us. We humans need jobs. Growth = JOBS. Environmentalists = Unemployment and financial disaster.
