News New Mexico - Once a statewide radio show providing state news aggregation and commentary, we have evolved. On this site we post political/cultural commentary, both domestic and international. At the top of the right hand sidebar there are links to discussions of the fundamental pillars of our world views. Click on these discussions and gain useful insights into our biases and how many of our views are formed.

Michael,
Per usual, your columns are vapid and smug. I can forgive this more in your radio persona, where you have put yourself in the position of having to speak off the top of your head. In your columns, however, I assume you're at least reading over what you've written. Still, no one can deny that you are--for better or worse--prolific.
The only people claiming energy savings from DST are government employees and of course those working for the same people who force this crap on us would NEVER lie.
Economists at universities around the world find just the opposite.
If you want to have more evening time, get your ass out of bed and go to work early. People can alter their work hours and companies can alter their policies. This is legitimate. Congress' interference in the lives of the people is not. There is no grant of power for Congress to control time.
We just need our wimpy, limp-wristed, gutless, NM politicians to say No. But there is no courage in Santa Fe or anywhere else in NM.
